Frequently Asked Questions

Is there something you need to know?

What are Ubudu's key differentiators?
Icone plus

At Ubudu, we strive to bring the most value at the lowest cost to our clients.
This is why, the solutions we develop are:
- Hybrid: in order to be able to answer any need in any environment with the right technology and be able to meet future needs without having to change the system.
- End-to-end: we make it easy and more cost efficient for our clients to implement and maintain the solutions by ensuring control and responsibility over the whole system, from the hardware to the software, from the end-user applications to the supervision tools.
- Open: the solution has an open API for clients to integrate data into their systems easily. We also offer the possibility to leverage existing infrastructure such as Wi-Fi to avoid having to install many different infrastructures.
- Scalable: the solution can quickly be deployed at low cost and at large scale thanks to its simplicity and robustness.

How useful is it to use a hybrid RTLS compared to standard RTLS?
Icone plus

Choosing a Hybrid RTLS compared to a standard RTLS can make you save a lot of money as it will ensure that you do not need to buy different RTLS for different use cases. This means you can mutualise the initial investment for the hardware, software and installation fees as well as the maintenance fees. With RTLS, there are many use cases and it is always best to ensure that your system is evolutive to meet future needs instead of being blocked with a system that can only use one specific technology.

Is my data secure?
Icone plus

Yes, your data is secure, it can be stored on your own servers (on-premise), or on Ubudu's RGPD compliant servers hosted in Europe.

How does RTLS work?
Icone plus

RTLS (Real-Time Location System) works with small battery-powered tags attached to moving assets that exchange radio signals (UWB, BLE, LoRa) with fixed anchors. This data is then sent to a server where a location engine computes a position and displays it on a map with an accuracy between 30cm to several meters depending on the technology used.
